Patios
Here in Atlanta, the climate allows our community to enjoy a great
deal of outdoor entertaining. Interestingly shaped patios can be
a great way to add interest to your yard, as well as functionality.
The most popular types include stone (dry-set or mortared), concrete,
pavers, and aggregate. POPS also installs walkways, steps, and front
stoops.
Plant and Turf Installations
The right combination of plant materials can add instant curb appeal and increase the value of your home. We can design and implement a planting scheme to suit your taste in color and texture outdoors. Some of the types of turf we install:
- Bermuda, the most hardy of all turf types, can be sodded or hydro seeded in sunny areas.
- Fescue turf can be seeded only in early spring or fall. Sod
only in fall, winter and early spring. It stays green all year
round, but needs to be placed in shady areas. Unless it is heavily
irrigated, the Georgia heat is too much for this type of grass
if planted in direct sun. It must be aerated and over seeded once
or twice a year since this grass type does not germinate itself.
- Zoysia sod is typically known as the "putting green grass."
It can be installed almost any time and can be cut the lowest
to 1/2 " in height, to achieve that highly manicured "carpet"
look. Its care does require a greater level of skill using a reel
mower, but it offers plenty of beauty. It is a creeping grass
that reestablishes itself by spreading.
